From 1000 Trades, The Button Factory and now Ana Rocha Bar & Gallery, the Jewellery Quarter is buzzing and its about time too. For too long there have been sporadic bar and restaurant openings but now it seems like it’s where all the cool places are pitching up on the regular. I would live around here for the bars and restaurants alone, but that’s another post…
Ana Rocha Bar & Gallery is a truly unique space and concept for Birmingham and there is nowhere it can even be likened to in the area and that’s got to be a great thing, right? The place is impressive. From the long and elegant entrance lined with artwork, to the antique showroom/gallery/tapas bar. Its got style and a lots of it.
I was invited along as part of the Brum Bloggers meetup and we were tasked with tweeting for our tapas which is a concept I’m completely on board with! We even managed to get #BBxAnaRocha trending locally and nationally too which isnt bad for a night of tapas and a cocktail or two.
The staff, including Ana Rocha herself, were really welcoming and friendly during the event and had serious cocktail making skills. The prices were reasonable too and a tip for the ladies, its 241 cocktails on a Tuesday. Very exciting.
And don’t even get me started on the lovely tapas which included cured meats, patatas bravas, pitta & houmous, grilled peppers and more.
It was a brilliant event and I met some lovely people too. I’ll definitely be going back soon for a mid week treat or to start the weekend right.
Ana Rocha Bar and Gallery can be found at 48 Frederick Street, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham B1 3HN. WEBSITE
*I was invited to try the food but I did purchase my own drinks. My opinions are my own*
